Full stop on public passenger vehicles - Collector

Katni. - Collector Shasibhushan Singh, using the powers conferred by section 155 of the Motor Vehicles Act 1988, has banned the operation of all public passenger vehicles and roadways till April 14. 23 on outbound, inbound and out of state operations of all public passenger vehicles, roadways, public transport service, contract vehicles, process vehicles, taxi cabs, maxi cabs and autorickshaws etc. There is a ban on March 14 at 12 noon till 14 April 2020. This order will not be applicable to the vehicles, private use vehicles and vehicles used for essential emergency services and those engaged in government duty. In case of emergency, the concerned Sub Divisional Magistrate / Tehsildar and Transport Authority will be able to give permission to operate public passenger vehicles as per the requirement. For this, contact can also be made at district and subdivision level control room. The concerned administrative and district transport officers can contact the district administration and provide permission for operation by marking the minimum autorickshaw as per requirement for health centers, airports and railway stations. In this regard, Collector Shasibhushan Singh has directed Superintendent of Police, Sub Divisional Magistrate Katni, Bahoriband, Dhimarkheda and Vijayaraghavgarh and Additional Transport Officer to ensure strict compliance of orders issued.
