The Division Bench of the Gujarat High Court, comprising Acting Chief Justice A.J. Desai and Justice Biren Vaishnav in the case of Kanaiyalal Vijayashankar Rajgor v. State of Gujarat has issued notice to the State Government for seeking remedial measures against the illegal mining and extraction of natural resources in a wildlife sanctuary.
The Bench expounded that the present petition which is in the nature of Public Interest and may affect various individual who may be carrying out different type of activities, the petitioners shall publish a notice Under Order 1 Rule 8 of Code of Civil Procedure about the present proceedings in a newspaper having wide circulation in vernacular language having wide circulation in the districts Surendranagar, Patan, Kutch, Morbi in the state of Gujarat giving 15 days clear notice about the next date of hearing.
The Bench issued notice to the respondent state which is returnable on 24.04.2023
