Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya has said that more than 22 crore 20 lakh Ayushman Cards have been issued to the beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana so far.
The scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in September
2018. The scheme is being implemented to provide health cover to the
people.
In a tweet, Dr. Mandaviya said, the scheme
which is the world's largest healthcare programme, provides a health
cover of five lakh rupees per family per year to vulnerable families. He
said, the scheme aims at benefiting more than ten crore poor families
all over the country.
