Corona has been notified a notified infectious disease under Section 51 of Madhya Pradesh Public Health Act 1949 to deal with the conditions arising from the spread of the corona virus in the country. Under this notification, along with the District Magistrate, Chief Medical and Health Officer and all Civil Surgeons, Chief Hospital Superintendents have been given wide powers by declaring them as authorized officers. These authorized officers are empowered to keep any person in the coronetion in the context of corona, taking samples of it for testing, regulating the activity of the suspected patient and shutting down the public establishment etc. According to the provisions of Madhya Pradesh Public Health Act 1949, there are provisions to take health of the public and to take necessary action in relation to them. If a person violates these provisions, then the authority to take punitive action against him has been conferred on the Executive Authority, District Magistrate. Similarly, under the Madhya Pradesh Epidemic Disease Kovid-19, in the event of infection, the right to take necessary action has been given.
