In the Kashmir Valley, two terrorists have
been killed by security forces in an encounter which started at Wanigam
Payeen in the Kreeri area of north Kashmir's Baramulla district in the
wee hours of this morning.
According to police, a joint team of Army and J&K Police launched a
Cordon and Search Operation in the Payeen area after receiving credible
inputs about the presence of some terrorists in the area.
As the joint team approached the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon the security forces.
In the exchange of fire, two terrorists were killed and their identity
is being ascertained. Incriminating materials, arms and ammunition
including One AK 47 Rifle and One Pistol were recovered from the
terrorists.
