The Designated Court for CBI Cases, Hyderabad has today sentenced Shri Kavadi Narasimha, IAS(AGMUT-1991), then Secretary to Govt. of Mizoram to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of lRs.1,00,000/- for possessing disproportionate assets.
CBI had registered a case on 21.12.2006 against Shri Kavadi Narasimha, IAS (AGMUT-1991), then Secretary to Govt of Mizoram on the allegations that the accused, while working as a public servant during the period 15.09.1991 to 19.10.2006 had amassed assets to the tune of Rs.32,31,000/- which were disproportionate to his known sources of income.
After investigation, a charge sheet was filed on 30.06.2010 against the accused.
The Trial Court found the said accused guilty and convicted him.
