The Supreme Court has sought Solicitor General Tushar Mehta's response on a petition alleging failure of the government to implement the Commercial Courts Act 2015 in "letter and spirit" in all states.
The Indian Commercial and Arbitration Bar Association said despite the legislature having "made a loud and clear declaration" to set up commercial courts, the country is yet to see effective implementation even after almost eight years.
