[DAILY PARLIAMENT] No Vacancies in PMLA Tribunal– Finance Ministry

Minister for Finance, Shri Pankaj Chaudhary informed Rajya Sabha that All the posts of Chairperson and other members of the Appellate Authority (AA) under PMLA are filled up.

He replied to an Unstarred Question related to vacancies among the Chairperson and other Members of the Appellate Authority (AA) under the PMLA.

 The Minister further stated that 1064 Prosecution Complaints are pending for completion of trial under PMLA. 

Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 is an Act of the Parliament of India enacted by the NDA government to prevent money-laundering and to provide for confiscation of property derived from money-laundering. PMLA and the Rules notified there under came into force with effect from July 1, 2005.
