Union government went to the Pinnacle Court regarding the release of convicts in Rajiv Gandhi case

High Court can dismiss the second appeal without even formulating the substantial question of law: Supreme Court - Prime Legal

The Union gove today went to the Apex Court against the 6 convicts release in the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi case. Centre has asked for a review of the judgement allowing the release of the 6 convicts.

The union government noted that the Apex Court order in the pleas is not right in the legal sense and has requested time from the apex court to argue against the 6 convicts who are presently in the jail.

Few days back Pinnacle Court noted the release of 6 convicts who were serving the punishment in the jail in relation to the killing of former PM Rajiv Gandhi.

Court noted that the release of six convicts if the convicts are not serving any punishment in any other case. These 6 six convicts are serving the punishment for killing Rajiv Gandhi and other 21.

Today the union government went to challenge the verdict to release these 6 convicts and said releasing those 6 convicts is “lose hold of serving justice”.
