Delhi Hit and Run Case: Law Student moves for Bail before Sessions Court

 

In the Hit and Run Case that took place in Delhi's Greater Kailash, accused Law Student moved for Bail before the Sessions Court Judge, Shri. Prashant Sharma on 23.02.2022. 

Victim is being represented by Verbis Legal through its partners Randeep Sachdeva and Shivaang Gupta, who briefed Senior Advocate Trideep Pais. Arguments were part heard today. The matter has been posted for further arguments tomorrow.

Accused Raj Sunderam, a law student at a Private University, was arrested on February 11 from outside the Le Meridian hotel in Gurugram’s Sector 26. His father, a retired bureaucrat, identified as Pandian Kalyanasundaram, was interrogated but was released after he signed an undertaking promising to join the probe as and when summoned.

According to Delhi Police, accused’s medico-legal case report showed that he was driving at a speed of 100 km per hour.

Police Officials stated that the accused and his father kept changing their locations in order to evade arrest, before they were arrested from outside the hotel in Gurgaon.
