Supreme Court Collegium reiterates name one advocate as Judge of Chhattisgarh High Court

The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on 11th November, 2021 has, on reconsideration, resolved to reiterate its earlier recommendation for elevation of Shri Sachin Singh Rajput, Advocate, as Judge in Chhattisgarh High Court.

At present, the sanctioned Judge strength of the High Court of Kerala is 22 Permanent Judges including the Chief Justice, working with 14 judges only. 

About Chhattisgarh High Court

The Chhattisgarh High Court is one of the new High Court in India. It was established on 1st of November 2000 as a separate High Court for newly created State of Chhattisgarh under the Madhya Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2000 having its jurisdiction over the territories of the state of Chhattisgarh. The High Court of Bilaspur is the 19th High Court of India.
