Calcutta HC lawyer Sanatan Ray Chowdhari, who was arrested by the Kolkata Police on Tuesday, revealed during Police interrogation that he had participated in the 10th BRICS Summit in Johannesburg in 2018. PM Narendra Modi was also present at the summit.
Sanatan Ray Chowdhari was arrested over allegations of forgery, impersonation of public servant, & criminal conspiracy with others for land & a building under the Gariahat Police Station area.
He allegedly posed as a CBI Special Counsel on social media. Chowdhari used to travel in a car with a blue beacon & identified himself as the Standing Counsel of the West Bengal Govt.
He also posted other details on social media which are contradictory & being verified.

Chowdhari's arrest comes after fake IAS officer Debanjan Deb was
arrested in connection with the dubious vaccine camps case in Kolkata.
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Kolkata Police is currently probing the matter & nine people, including prime accused Debanjan Deb, have been arrested so far.
