Kerala, Maharashtra, Punjab, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat record upsurge in active cases of Coronavirus

 

Government today said that six states have recorded an upsurge in active cases of Covid19. These states are Kerala, Maharashtra, Punjab, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat. Union Health Ministry said, Maharashtra continues to report the highest daily new cases at eight thousand 333. It is followed by Kerala with three thousand 671 while Punjab reported 622 new cases.

The Ministry said, only six states and UTs account for 82.3 per cent of the new deaths. Maharashtra saw the maximum casualties of 48.

 

Punjab follows with 15 and Kerala reported 14 deaths in the last 24 hours.
