In the meeting, Deputy Director of Agriculture AK Rathore had told that incidents of animal loss, mass loss are also frequent due to setting fire to the crop in rural areas. Narwhal fire incidents are monitored continuously through satellite by the Government of India. In the last one year, 43 thousand 198 narwhal fire incidents have been reported in Madhya Pradesh. In this, in Katni district, in May 19, 63 Rabi crops, 80 in Kharif 19 and 104 in May 20 in Rabi season, a total of 247 Narwai fires have been recorded.
The administration is not able to make the farmers aware of the use of equipment to destroy the straw in the field itself. This is the reason why farmers are not becoming aware of the use of machines like stripper to destroy and make hay in the fields. Apart from this, farmers are also not being aware for the use of zero trillage to destroy the residue of paddy.
