Bhai Dooj, the festival celebrating the special bond between brother and sister is being celebrated today. On
this day, sisters pray for their brothers to have a long and happy life
by performing Tika ceremony and brothers offer gifts to their sisters.
The festival is additionally celebrated as Bhau Beej, Bhathru Dwithiya, Bhai Phota, Ningol Chakuba and Bhai Tika in several parts of the country.

occasion of Bhai Dooj. In a tweet, Mr Naidu said, this festival is a
celebration of the sacred and everlasting bond between brothers and
sisters. On this big day , we should always resolve to guard the interests of girls and girl children. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended his best wishes to the people on the occasion of Bhai Dooj.
