Collect revenue from big property owners - Collector

Review meeting of urban bodies
katni Collector Shasibhushan Singh has given instructions to review the meeting of urban bodies by setting up camps in wards for recovery of revenue, water, etc., in the month of March and according to the target. He has said that priority should be given to revenue collection work from big defaulters. On this occasion, Commissioner Municipal Corporation RP Singh, Project Officer Urban Development Agency Abhay Mishra along with CMO of Municipal Council Camor, Barhi, Vijayaraghavgarh and officials of Municipal Corporation were present. Collector Mr. Singh reviewed the construction of 1712 EWS houses at Premnagar, 1512 houses to be constructed at Bilhari Mor Jhinjhri under AHP component of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana under Municipal Corporation Katni. He said that the beneficiaries of the constructed houses should organize a loan fair on 23 and 24 March with the cooperation of the banks to get the loan sanctioned from the bank and in the process of acceptance, they should get home entry on Gudi Padwa Navaratri on 25 March. The collector reviewed the progress of park development under Amrit scheme, widening and upgrading of road from Chandak Chowk to Juhla Rapata under the Chief Minister's Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme at a cost of Rs 13 crore 30 lakh. It was informed that 2700 meter water stream and 1 kilometer road has been constructed in this road work. The collector instructed to increase the progress of work and complete the remaining 3.5 km of the road within the time limit. Commissioner Municipal Corporation RP Singh said that the proposal of Intra and Intra bus services under the Public Transport Service has been approved by the Directorate. Under this scheme, 10 buses will run on different routes outside the city and city of Katni. Collector Mr. Singh also inquired about the proposed action plan for the development of the transport city and the operation and maintenance of the leather godown and auditorium.

While reviewing the situation of drinking water, Collector Shri Singh said that immediately stop the wastage of drinking water supply line and water from tanks and taps. Disseminate information to any citizen on social media, whatsapp group or control room number. Apart from this, on receipt of information, a team of technical staff should also be formed for immediate action to resolve. It was informed that any problem related to the Municipal Corporation or wastage of drinking water can be reported on the corporation's tollfree number 1969. In the review of revenue collection, it was told that the Municipal Corporation Katni has achieved the target of 23 crore 52 lakh revenue collection in the financial year from the government. Against this, Rs 12 crore 12 lakh has been recovered so far. The demand for revenue collection has been fixed at 19 crore 90 lakh. The Collector instructed the citizens to give information about payment of revenue bills and to organize camps for the collection of convenient revenue tax by the vehicles of the corporation and also to organize camps. The Collector also reviewed the works of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Chief Minister Infrastructure Construction and Drinking Water status of Municipal Council Barhi, Vijayaraghavgarh and Kaimor.
