Collector Shri Singh said in review of construction works of MNREGA, that the incomplete works of earlier years should be completed on priority and take special care of quality in these works. The responsibility of ensuring quality rests with the technical officers of rural development and supervising administrative officials. He said that good and inspirational works should be documented in the rural development works and their success stories should also be disseminated through various mediums. In the self-employment schemes, the collector said that in March, the CEO of the district should remain in constant contact with the banks and take action to sanction and distribute the cases according to the target. Collector Mr. Singh said that on every Tuesday, Janusunwai should be started at the district level under the leadership of SDM. Duty of field officers and employees has been imposed in every gram panchayat once a week. The problems of local level should be resolved by officers and employees in all the Panchayats on the prescribed day. In reviewing the status of drinking water, the collector said that panchayat-wise, review the condition of drinking water, hand pumps, necessary improvement of tap water scheme and maintenance work. For the smooth availability of drinking water in the plateau areas of Bahoriband and Reethi, identify the necessary water resources. From April 1, for the condition of drinking water at district level, make a control room and operate it. Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat Jagdish Chandra Gome said that against the target of 49 lakh 40 thousand 246 MGNREGA, 42 lakh 16 thousand 412 has been met, which is 85 percent. The district is currently running an average of 21975 man-days. Under MNREGA, construction of 30 gaushalas sanctioned at a cost of Rs. 399 lakhs is being completed, out of which Rs. 35 lakhs have been spent on pasture development of 30 gaushalas. Out of 33299 identified works under River Rejuvenation Scheme, 6723 works have been sanctioned in 153 gram panchayats, of which 1608 are in progress and 327 have been completed. Against the target set in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, against the target of 9773, 6677 houses have been completed with 67 percent achievement and Katni district is second in the state. District Project Officer of NRLM, Shabana Begum said that 1590 self-groups have been formed against the target set of 1664 groups. There are a total of 4821 self-employed in the district. Of these, 282 groups have been given banking assistance of 302 lakh. At the same time, loans of Rs 346 lakh have been sanctioned by banks to 312 groups for various business. In review of Social Justice Department, ACEO Gaurav Pushp said that a total of 86 thousand 191 beneficiaries are being given regular pension every month under the schemes in the district. Under the National Family Assistance Scheme, assistance of Rs 142 lakh has been provided to the dependents of 710 beneficiaries. Rural Mechanical Service was informed that Rs 2350 lakh has been approved for a total of 98 works under the scheme MLA, MP Fund, State Planning head. In which 31 construction works have been completed. Apart from MNREGA, 12 thousand 461 construction works are being conducted by Gram Panchayat under various schemes.
