On Thursday, early in the morning, Former Chief Justice of India, Justice AM Ahmadi passed away around 5am.
Justice Ahmadi was born in 1932 at Surat. He was appointed a judge of the City Civil & Sessions Court Ahmedabad in 1964. He was picked for the higher judiciary and was appointed judge of the Gujarat High Court in 1976.
In 1988, he was elevated to the Supreme Court and in 1994 took oath as the Chief Justice of India.
