BCI to examine demand to make RTE Act compulsory subject for LL.B.

Making RTE Act As Mandatory Subject In All Law Schools Will... | MENAFN.COM

The Bar Council of India has agreed to look into and examine representation demanding that the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (RTE Act) be made a compulsory subject for LL.B. in all law schools across the country.

The Counsel for the Council agreed to the same before a bench of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Subramonium Prasad.

The Court accordingly disposed of a PIL by Social Jurist in which it was contended that even though the RTE Act came into force a long time back but hardly any student, lawyer or even judge is aware of its provisions.
