Advocate Protection Act has been introduced in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly by Minister Shanti Dhariwal.
The Bill is expected to be passed by Assembly by March 22nd.
The Lawyers in the State have expressed delight and welcomed the action on part of the Government.
The Lawyers recently staged state-wise protest in wake of murder of one Advocate in broad day light and demanded implementation of the Act. The Rajasthan High Court took cognizance of the matter as well and hinted that it may pass guidelines if legislation doesn't come.
