The Central Government of India has assented for the appointment of Shri Justice Sanjaya Kumar Mishra, Judge of the Uttarakhand High Court, to be the Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court.
The notification issued by the Law Ministry notifies that “In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Sanjaya Kumar Mishra, Judge ofthe Uttarakhand High Court, to be the ChiefJustice ofthe Jharkhand High Court, with effect from the date he assumes charge ofhis office”.

Justice Sanjaya Kumar Mishra was elevated as Judge of the Orissa High Court on 07.10.2009 and was transferred to High Court of Uttarakhand where he assumed the charge of the office of Judge of the High Court of Uttarakhand on 11.10.2021.
