No Public scrutiny of Judges but people are watching: Law Minister Kiren Rijiju

Kiren Rijiju takes charge as new Justice & Law Minister after PM Modi's Cabinet reshuffle | India News

Union Law Minister, Mr. Kiren Rijiju has said that though judges do not have to face elections or public scrutiny, they are still under the public eye.

"Once they become judges, they don't face elections, there is no public scrutiny of judges," he said.

However, he appeared to be reminding the Judiciary that people are still watching their actions as in age of Social Media, hiding anything is impossible.

"People are watching you... the judgments you give, how you work... In this age of social media, you can't hide anything," said the Law Minister.

Social media is bold.

Social media is young.

Social media raises questions.

Social media is not satisfied with an answer.

Social media looks at the big picture.

Social media is interested in every detail.

social media is curious.

 Social media is free.

Social media is irreplaceable.

But never irrelevant.

Social media is you.
