High Court issued notice to the State Government for refusing voting rights in elections

 

The Single Judge Bench of the Rajasthan High Court, comprising Justice Vinit Kumar Mathur in the case of Surya Jain v. State of Rajasthan and Others has issued notice to the Rajasthan Government on a petition refusing voting rights to women in election for membership in Shri Jain Shwetamber Nakoda Parshwanath Tirth Trust.

The Court heard both the parties and listed the matter on 19.01.23 for next hearing.

The Court also instructed the petitioners to serve a copy of the writ petition on the Standing counsel of the respondent Nos.1 to 3 in addition to the notices filed.
