On Sunday, the CBI produced accused Kalyani Singh in the Local Court after the completion of 4-day police remand & obtained 2 more days to interrogate her.
Kalyani is a daughter of Himachal Pradesh High Court's Acting Chief Justice & was arrested on June 25 by CBI in the murder case of Sippy Sidhu, a national shooter & advocate, in September 2015.
During the hearing of the case in Court, the Central Bureau of Investigation demanded 7 days of police custody of Kalyani for further interrogation, but after hearing the pleas of both sides, the Court granted only two days of police remand of Kalyani to CBI.
CBI said in the court that the accused Kalyani was not cooperating with CBI & was deceptive during answering the relevant questions in the case. Now, CBI will grill Kalyani to recover the gun & vehicle used in the murder of Sippy Sidhu. CBI also apprised the court that they interrogated a Kalyani's close friend in case.
