More than 24 crore 54 lakh unorganized workers have registered on e-Shram portal: MoS Rameswar Teli

 

More than 24 crore 54 lakh unorganized workers have registered one-Shram portal. This was stated by the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Rameswar Teli in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today. The Minister said, the main objective of the portal is to create a national database of unorganized workers to facilitate the delivery of social security and welfare schemes. All eligible registered unorganized workers are entitled to get the benefit of an accidental insurance cover of two lakh rupees under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.
