Government works with the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas: PM Modi

 

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said, BJP is always committed to serving the people of the country. In an interview with a news agency last evening, Mr Modi said, when in power, the BJP led government works with the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.

Speaking about the ensuing assembly elections, the Prime Minister said, can see a wave for BJP in all the five-poll bound states. He said, the party will win with an overwhelming majority. Mr Modi said, wherever BJP has been given the opportunity to work with stability, there is an atmosphere of pro-incumbency. He said, when BJP wins election, it stays connected to the grassroot level and leaves no stone unturned in winning the trust of people.

 
The Prime Minister said, the party learns from every election  and for it, elections are like open universities with opportunities for new recruitments and to improve themselves. He said, they treat it as a field of education.


On the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh, the Prime Minister said, when people discuss the security situation in the state, they think of the problems they faced during the previous governments. 


He said, in the current BJP government, today women say that they can step out of the house at any time of the day without any fear. He said, this confidence among women is an indication of a sense of security among them. He added that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given prominence to safety and security in the state.

Talking about the farm laws, the Prime Minister said, the three laws were brought for the benefit of farmers but they were withdrawn in the nation's interest. Mr Modi added that he has always worked for the benefits of the farmers and they too have always supported him.


On the issue of socialism, Mr Modi said, the government has no business to do business. He said, the policies of the government should be oriented towards giving opportunities to the people. He said, the government's priorities are to ensure homes, toilets, clean drinking water, health facilities and such basic necessities to the poor, and if anyone calls them socialism it is acceptable to him. Hitting out at the Congress and the Samajwadi Party, Mr Modi said, when a party is run for generations by a family, then there is only dynasty and not dynamics. Mr Modi mentioned that when he talks about fake socialism, it is about a dynasty. He said, this dynasticism is a threat to democracy. 


The Prime Minister emphasised that democratization of political parties is very important.

Rejecting Opposition's allegations of government misusing probe agencies, the Prime Minister said, elections keep taking place in the country and these agencies work according to their norms. Mr. Modi said, corruption is adversely affecting the country and action by probe agencies in such cases adds to the national treasury for which the government should be appreciated. He added that  the government does not interfere in the working of probe agencies.
On the issue of regional aspirations, the Prime Minister said, BJP believes in addressing regional aspirations for the nation's progress. 


He said, the Government has identified Aspirational Districts where it has laid special focus on them. He said, the districts are rapidly moving forward and some of them have even crossed the state average on several parameters
On Lakhimpur Kheri incident in Uttar Pradesh, the Prime Minister told the news agency that the Uttar Pradesh government is working with transparency in the case and it has given its consent for whatever Committee Supreme Court wanted to form to probe the incident.


On the Ferozepur security breach during the Prime Minister's visit to Punjab, Mr Modi said, he has maintained silence on the issue as  the Supreme Court is looking into the matter seriously. He said, any statement that he will make in this regard will impact the investigation, and it is not right.


When asked about the Congress, Mr Modi alleged that the basis of Congress' working style and its ideology are communalism, casteism, nepotism and corruption. He said, if this ideology remains in the mainstream of the country, then it causes a great loss to the country.  


During his interview, the Prime Minister also highlighted foreign investments and the robust response to pro-business government schemes as indicators of the strength of the Indian economy and the direction where it was headed. Mr Modi said, the situation in India is now different due to high inflow of FDI and FII. He said, during the COVID pandemic, India provided medicines to around 150 countries.

 
Speaking about the pandemic situation in the country, Mr Modi said, he has always urged people to be vigilant against the COVID-19 as this virus is highly unpredictable. He said, people should always strive to reduce its impact on our nation. He said, the problem is that few political parties have played the role of fear mongers to destabilise the nation’s preparedness against the pandemic.

The Prime Minister said that at the time Covid pandemic, the WHO had suggested to the people not to move out and they should stay where they are, but the Congress party encouraged people to go out by giving free tickets. He said, in Delhi, the leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party told the people to leave the city as there is a lockdown and created fear among the people.

On Punjab elections, Mr Modi said, BJP has emerged as the most reliable party in the State and very senior people in public life and top leaders in politics have also left their old party and joined the BJP.
