India's COVID-19 vaccination coverage crosses 165 crore 70 lakh under nationwide drive; Over 75% of eligible population fully vaccinated

 

 Over 165 crore 70 lakh COVID-19 Vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive in the country. More than 62 lakh Vaccine Doses were administered in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, India's active Covid-19 caseload currently stands at over 18 lakh 84 thousand. The recovery rate is currently at 94.21 percent. Over three lakh 52 thousand patients have recovered in the last 24 hours.


Over two lakh 34 thousand new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

Over 75 percent of the eligible population in the country is now fully vaccinated. In a tweet, Union Health Minister, Mansukh Mandaviya said, with the mantra of Sabka Saath and Sabka Prayas, India has achieved the goal of vaccinating 75 percent of its adult population with both doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

He said, people have to follow the COVID guidelines and get the vaccine as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated fellow citizens for this momentous feat. In a tweet, Mr Modi said, he is proud of all those who are making the country's vaccination drive a success.
