The Allahabad High Court has directed the State Government of Uttar Pradesh to clear the post retirement dues of an ex employee within a period of two months or show cause for the non payment of post retirement dues by the next date.
The Single Bench of Justice Ajit Kumar while dealing with a pettion filed by Sudama Lal has directed the State Government that,
"Let post retirement dues of the petitioner be paid to the petitioner within a period of two months or show cause by the next date fixed.."
The petitioner has approched the court under Article 226 of the Constitution and prayed for post retirement dues as he has already come to be retired on 31.03.2020 while working as Fisheries Inspector. However, his post retirement dues have remain unpaid till date and he is also entitled for payment of interest for such delayed payment.
The Court has listed the present matter in 21st March, 2022 for next hearing.
