India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 67 crore 65 lakh.
Union Health Ministry said, around 52 crore vaccine doses have been
administered as first dose and over 15 crore vaccine doses given as
second doses so far. The new phase of universalization of COVID-19
vaccination commenced from 21st of June this year.
The Ministry said, more than 51 lakh 88
thousand vaccine doses were administered yesterday. It said, the
vaccination exercise as a tool to protect the most vulnerable population
groups in the country from COVID-19 continues to be regularly reviewed
and monitored at the highest level.
