The Himachal Pradesh High Court decided to refer all the Courts subordinate to the High Court as “District Judiciary”.
The Circular issued by the Registrar of High Court notifies that “It has been resolved by the High Court of Himachal Pradesh that hereinafter, all the Courts in the State other than the High Court shall be referred to as “District Judiciary”. Furthermore, these Courts shall not be referred to as Subordinate Courts. They shall hereinafter be referred to as “Trial Court”.
Further, It has also been resolved that the nomenclature of Judicial Magistrate (1st Class), which is being referred to as “JMIC”, shall hereinafter be referred to as “JMFC”.
