In Ladakh, District
Magistrate of Leh has ordered closure of all educational institutions
till 30th of this month. AIR correspondent reports, The exponential
upsurge in the covid 19 active cases in Leh district of Ladakh has
forced the authorities to closed down the educational institutions in
the district.
In an order issued yesterday night, the District Magistrate has ordered
the concern authorities to close educational institutions to impart on
campus or in person education to the students of all the classes
including intermediate classes. However, it has also ordered to resume
the online classes during the closure period.
Meanwhile, one death case due to corona virus infection was reported in
the past twenty four hours. Ladakh also witnessed highest daily spike
today as 354 more new cases was reported during the past twenty four
hours. With this , the total tally of active cases is now 1671 in the
Union Territory. 41cases are admitted in Covid dedicated hospitals and
rest of them placed under observation are either at Covid Care Centres,
facility Isolation Centre and Home Isolation.
