In Jammu and Kashmir, Army today paid tribute to Havildar Hardhan Chandra Roy, Naik Satai Bhushan Rameshrao, Gunner Subodh Ghosh and Sepoy Jondhale Rushikesh Ramchandra, who made the supreme sacrifice on Friday in North Kashmir. In a solemn ceremony at B B Cantt Srinagar, Lt Gen BS Raju, Chinar Corps Commander and all ranks paid homage to the gallant soldiers.
On 13 November, Pakistani Army had initiated unprovoked Ceasefire Violations in multiple Sectors of Kashmir. Late Havildar Hardhan Chandra Roy and Late Gunner Subodh Ghosh of the REGIMENT OF ARTILLERY were deployed in Uri Sector while Late Naik Satai Bhushan Rameshrao and Late Sepoy Jondhale Rushikesh Ramchandra of the MARATHA LIGHT INFANTRY were deployed in Gurez Sector. In unprovoked Artillery Shelling by Pakistani Army, these bravehearts received multiple splinter injuries. They were provided immediate medical aid and evacuated to the nearest military medical facility but they succumbed to their grievous injuries.
Meanwhile, Border Security Force, Kashmir Frontier also paid respects to Sub Inspector Rakesh Dobhal who attained martyrdom in the Unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistani Army in Kupwara district. Dr Rajesh Mishra, Inspector General BSF of Kashmir Frontier and all other officers of Kashmir Frontier led the tribute ceremony at BSF headquarters in Humhama in Srinagar.
