The Collector observed the cultivation of vegetables and crops in organic and advanced method being done by Eighty-year-old Atti Lal Kushwaha, a farmer of Mazhagwan. He inspected various types of vegetable crops planted by the farmer in about 7 acres of land and the cabbage crop being taken in the shednet house. The collector observed the banana, papaya and basmati paddy crop being harvested in the village Amadi by the innovative farmer Manu Narla. Farmer Manu Narla said that in addition to the traditional basmati paddy, a variety of king bhog has also been planted. Hybrid basmati paddy produces up to about 50 quintals per acre and this time the advance of the basmati rice variety being cultivated by them, has been sold in advance at the price of 11 thousand quintals of paddy king bhog. Apart from papaya, the farmer has also planted various banana varieties G-19, Amritpani and Sankarakela, Tissue Cultures. The Collector also inspected horticulture crop mango and lemon cultivation being taken up by farmer Vijay Mishra in village Basadi in an area of 11 acres. The Collector instructed the farmer not to stoke in paddy field and harvest fire in Narwai. He said that strict restrictions have been imposed on burning narwhal in the fields in the district. During the tour, Collector Shri Singh also reviewed the status of construction works in rural areas and the implementation of government schemes and programs on the ground level.
