Special discussion on social and economic upliftment of women
KATNI. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Kamleshwar Patel has said that 'Sabla Mahila Sabha' will be organized in 22 thousand 812 gram panchayats of the state on the occasion of International Women's Day on 8 March. Topics like social, economic development of women, folk traditions and social evils will be discussed. One government woman officer / employee has been appointed as the nodal officer for successful organization of each Sabla Mahila Sabha. Minister Shri Patel said that with a view to register active participation of women in the Panchayat Raj system, the promise letter also promised to organize women gram sabhas. In the same order, the State Government has decided to organize a special Gram Sabha on two occasions in the year, the Sabla Mahila Sabha on March 8 and the Priyadarshini Mahila Sabha on November 19. Additional Chief Secretary Rural Development Shri Manoj Shrivastava informed that all the preparations for successful organization of 'Sabla Mahila Sabha' have been completed in the state. Sabla Mahila Sabha will be held simultaneously in the entire state. The main assembly will be held in Chhindwara district. Chief Minister Kamal Nath and Minister of Panchayat and Rural Development Shri Kamleshwar Patel will be specially present in this. He informed that the Sabla Mahila Sabha would be presided over by the Mahila Sarpanch, Mahila Panch or senior female member. The location and time of the gathering will be communicated by Munadi in the Gram Panchayat area. He informed that the subjects to be put up for consideration in the meeting have also been decided. Health and Family Welfare Department will discuss health programs of women, girls and children in Sabla Mahila Sabha. Various schemes and programs, including Kalyani Pension, Girls Guardian Pension operated by Social Justice and Disabled Welfare Department will be discussed in the meeting. Instructions have also been given to discuss programs for women empowerment, encouragement of girl child birth. Shri Srivastava said that instructions have also been given to script the action details of Sabla Mahila Sabha and to ensure action on it.
