A large meeting hall will be built in the Collectorate campus


katni - Collector Shasibhushan Singh on Wednesday inspected the construction work of the building projects being carried out by the PIU in Katni city along with the officials of the Project Implementation Unit Public Works. He instructed to complete the project works within the stipulated time frame, taking stock of the updated status and quality of construction works. Collector Shri Singh inspected the construction of large multipurpose halls being constructed in Madhavnagar, Government Excellence School and 100-100 seater boys and girls hostels being built behind the school. On this occasion, it was informed that there will be a badminton court with theater in the multipurpose hall of the excellent school. A separate dressing room of boys and girls will also remain behind the theater. Collector Mr. Singh instructed to increase the width of the staircases on both sides of the theater and to construct a CC road from the main second gate of the school to enter the multipurpose hall. The collector gave instructions to organize a stone bench by arranging the waiting place of the parents in front of the multipurpose hall in the school premises. Collector Mr. Singh inspected the construction work of boys and girls hostels of excellent schools and instructed the PIU officials to complete the work soon and transfer the building to the department. Collector Mr. Singh inspected the under construction building of Government Girls College being constructed in Jhinjhri. Here, he instructed to develop the open hall in the middle of the college as a large hall. He said that construction of auditorium sanctioned by RUSA for the college should also be started as per the drawing design. He said that the Chowkidar's residence and cycle stand should be built separately in the campus on the back side of the college building. Collector Shri Singh also inspected the Judge Housing buildings constructed by the PIU at Jhinjhri, near the District Court Building. PIU has completed construction of 16 buildings including E-type and D-Type 8-8 buildings for Judge Housing Building and all necessary works including electrical, tap connections. Collector Mr. Singh also gave instructions to start the operation of the handover of all the constructed residential buildings. Collector Mr. Singh also inspected the school buildings and hostel buildings of the Girls Education Complex of the Tribal Welfare Department being constructed at Saraswahi. During the inspection of Girls Education Campus, the Collector instructed to complete the work soon and transfer it to the department. He said that after completing the leveling work of the campus, plantation should also be done. Collector Shri Singh also expressed unhappiness at the sluggish pace of work after inspecting the construction work of the EVM Ware House of the election being built behind the Collectorate premises. He said that compared to other districts, the work of EVM Ware House is lagging behind. Make progress in the work and complete the work by the end of May and transfer it to the Election Office. Collector Shri Singh also inspected the site of the proposed large meeting hall near the eastern entrance in the collector office premises. He said that the present meeting hall will be kept for small meetings. According to the drawing design of the proposed large meeting hall, he directed the officials of the PIU to start work soon.
