The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an Office Superintendent (Settlement Section) working in the office of DRM (P), WCR, Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) for demanding & accepting bribe of Rs. 20,000/- from Complainant.
A case was registered on complaint against said Office Superintendent (Settlement Section) on the allegations of demanding undue advantage/bribe of Rs. 25,000/- from Complainant (a retired employee of Railway) for payments/issuance of his pending TPA & PPO (Pension Pay Order). It was further alleged that the accused later agreed to reduce bribe amount to Rs. 20,000/-.
CBI laid a trap and caught the accused while accepting bribe of Rs. 20,000/- from the Complainant. Searches were conducted at the premises of the accused.
The arrested accused is being produced today before the Special Judge for CBI cases at Bhopal.
