Decided to re-examine sedition law, Centre tells Supreme Court

On Monday, a Local Court in Bhubaneswar allowed the Enforcement Directorate to take custody of Archana Nag, the prime accused in the high-profile blackmailing case in Odisha, for 7 days.

The District and Sessions Court, where Nag was produced during the day, heard both the central agency and her defence counsel and granted seven day's remand to the ED.

The Enforcement Directorate had sought 15 days' remand of the 26-year-old woman from Kalahandi who was arrested on Oct 6 and sent to jail on the charge of blackmailing rich and influential persons along with running a sex racket.
