The HC rejected the bail plea of G Ramesh, a software engineer from Hyderabad, who was also arrested in the same case along with the Lawyers.
The CBI arrested Chandrasekhar Rao, Gopalakrishna and Ramesh on Feb 12. Later, they were taken into custody for questioning.
All the 3 accused moved to the HC seeking bail. Senior Lawyers KG Krishna Murthy and Hemendranath Reddy argued for Chandrasekhar & Gopalakrishna. They urged the HC to grant bail as both of them tendered unconditional apology to the HC & the latter closed suo moto contempt petitions against them. They further pleaded bail in view of the health of the accused.Considering the arguments of senior counsels & closure of contempt proceedings, the high court granted them conditional bail. However, the bail application of Ramesh was rejected as the CBI told the high court that the case is still under investigation.
