On Tuesday, Tamil Actor Thalapathy Vijay has been fined ₹1 lakh by the Madras High Court for importing a luxurious car. But the statement made by the High Court judge against Vijay stirred up the fire in Kollywood, and fans showered support to their favorite star.
Now, the latest report is that Thalapathy Vijay has decided to go for a re-appeal to counter the statements made by the HC Judge. Kumaresan, Vijay's Lawyer has confirmed in the statement to the media. He further mentioned that they are going for the counter not because of avoiding fines or avoiding the tax exemption but for the offensive statements made by the HC judge.
Accordingly, actor Vijay had filed a petition in the Chennai High Court seeking an entry tax on a car imported from the UK in 2012. The judge hearing the case, A.M. Subramaniam on Tuesday rejected Vijay's plea and dismissed the petition, and imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh.
He also ordered the fine to be paid into the Chief Minister's General Relief Fund within two weeks. But the judge made a statement asking Vijay to be a hero in real life too, which has disturbed Vijay's fans.
On the work front, Vijay is currently shooting for 'Beast', which is directed by Nelson Dhilipkumar, and the film is produced by Sun Pictures.
