The High Court of Rajasthan has issued a notice ordering all its staff members to get both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine at the earliest.
"All the staff members of the Rajasthan High Court, Jodhpur and Jaipur Bench, Jaipur are hereby directed to get both the doses of vaccine as per norms, at the earliest to avoid any inconvenience and for the safety of all the concerned", the notice issued by the Court mentions.
Earlier, the Rajasthan HC, in a significant notification, had ordered only those persons who have completed fourteen days after getting the 2nd dose of vaccine against Covid19 shall be allowed inside court premises meaning that if any Lawyer has not completed a period of 14 days after getting the second dose of vaccine, then that person will not be allowed to be physically present for hearing of cases in Rajasthan High Court and Subordinate Courts in the state.
Only those people who cannot take vaccines due to medical reasons as prescribed by the State / Central Govt shall be considered as exceptions.
Physical hearing of cases will resume in Rajasthan HC on June 28, after a gap of almost three months during which cases were being heard through video conferencing. The court had decided to stop physical hearing in Court premises due to the rise in Covid19 cases.
