Uttar Pradesh Government has announced that those COVID
patients who are recovering in post-COVID wards after coming negative in
tests will be treated free of cost in government hospitals. AIR
correspondent reports that the order issued by Principal Secretary
(Health) Alok Kumar says that it has come into notice of government that
many COVID patients who were admitted in hospitals for treatment have
to remain in Post-COVID Wards for proper recovery even after coming
negative in the RT-PCR tests.Now as per the government's directions no charge will be taken from them during their admission period in Post-COVID Wards after coming negative in RT-PCR test. Meanwhile, the recovery rate in state has further jumped to 95.1 per cent and new cases of COVID infections are decreasing sharply. In last 24 hours only, 3,371 new cases were found in state and active cases are now 62,271. Now active cases are around 80 per cent less than the number during peak time of COVID-19 in state last month. Government also conducted record number of more than 3.5 lakh tests in a single day yesterday.
