Road, Transport and
Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that the Dwarka Expressway will
be completed by August next year. The total length of this expressway
is 29 kilometers. Out of which 18.9 kilometers length falls in Haryana
and the remaining 10.1 kilometers in Delhi.
Addressing a press conference after visiting the Dwarka Expressway site
today, Mr Gadkari said, the expressway is India's first nine-kilometer
long eight-lane flyover on single pier. He said, the Dwarka Expressway
is also the first elevated urban expressway in the country.
The Minister said, this will reduce air pollution in Delhi. Mr Gadkari
said, this is the first instance where around 12 thousand trees were
transplanted at a massive level.
Union Minister and Gurugram MP Rao Inderjit Singh was also present on the occasion.
