In Madhya Pradesh, the presence of the H5N8 virus was
reported in dead crows in Indore, Agar-Malwa and Mandsaur districts.
Bird Flu has already been issued by the Animal Husbandry Department.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has called an emergency
meeting regarding Bird Flu. Guideline issued by Govt of India is being
implemented in the state. Collection of samples of birds from poultry
farms will also be taken.
So far, three districts reported Bird Flu.
Veterinary Department Deputy Director in Indore Pramod Sharma said, 155
crows were detected with the H5N8 virus in the Residential areas during
the last eight days. Survey is being carried out in Indore by health
officials to check people with symptoms like cold, cough and fever.
