Government is distracting the attention of farmers ??

The Modi government is constantly reiterating that farmers will benefit from the new agricultural laws. But since these laws have been passed, farmers across the country have been agitating against them. Last week, this protest became even stronger when farmers from neighboring states traveled to Delhi. If these laws are as beneficial as the Prime Minister is telling, then what is the reason for the anger of the farmers? The All India Power Engineers Federation has said that with the withdrawal of agricultural laws, there has been a demand to withdraw the Electricity (Amendment) Bill-2020. Through this, there is a plan to privatize electricity, after which electricity rates will be away from the reach of farmers.

Power engineers supported the agitating farmers after taxi and transporter union

Lucknow: The All India Power Engineers Federation has decided to extend its support to farmers seeking to withdraw the Agricultural Laws and the Electricity (Amendment) Bill. Federation President Shailendra Dubey said on Thursday, "The agitation on the call of Kisan United Front calls for withdrawal of the Electricity (Amendment) Bill-2020 along with the withdrawal of agricultural laws." The Federation has decided to support these farmers. ' He said that as soon as the draft of the Electricity (Amendment) Bill was issued, the power engineers strongly opposed it. The bill provides that the subsidy on electricity received by farmers should be abolished and no consumers, including farmers, be given electricity at a price below the cost of electricity. It may be known that Uttar Pradesh's electrical workers and engineers had protested and held a strike for several days to protest the privatization of electricity distribution. Dubey said, 'Although the bill provides that the government can put the subsidy amount in their account, but before that the farmers will have to pay the electricity bill in full, which will not be possible for all farmers. ' He said, 'Farmers believe that there is a plan to privatize electricity through the Electricity (Amendment) Bill 2020, so that electricity will go to private houses. The private sector works for profit, so electricity rates will be out of reach of farmers. The Federation has decided to support the farmer movement on this basis. Dubey said, 'The farmers' fears are not unfounded. The Electricity (Amendment) Bill 2020 and the standard bidding document issued for the privatization of electricity distribution have been brought for the purpose of privatization of electricity. In such a situation, after the subsidy is over, the electricity rates will be Rs 10 to 12 per unit and farmers will have to pay a minimum of eight to 10 thousand rupees per month. ' Explain that in support of farmers, transporters have also warned to stop operations in North India. The All India Motor Transport Congress (AIMTC), the apex organization of transporters, has said to stop supply across North India including Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan from December 8, supporting agitating farmers. Apart from this, the All India Taxi Union had warned that if the demands of the farmers protesting against the new agricultural laws were not met, they would go on strike. Explain that thousands of farmers have been protesting against the new agriculture law for the last nine days (26 November) on the borders of Delhi. The farmers say that they have come to Delhi for a decisive fight and till their demands are met, their protest will continue. It may be noted that three bills related to agriculture by the Central Government - Farmer Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020, Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Price Assurance Contracts and Agricultural Services Bill, 2020 and Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill. On January 27, 2020, the President had approved on September 20, against which farmers are protesting. Farmers fear that the government is ending the established system of providing minimum support price (MSP) through these ordinances and if implemented, the farmers will have to live on the mercy of the traders. On the other hand, the BJP-led Modi government at the Center has repeatedly denied this. The government is calling these ordinances 'historic agricultural reform'. He says that they are making an alternative system for the sale of agricultural produce.
