New Delhi: Shops and business establishments remained closed in many parts of the country and transport was affected on Tuesday in support of the 'Bharat Bandh', called by farmers' organizations to demand withdrawal of new agricultural laws at the Center.
The protesters hit the road and disrupted the traffic, including the train.

In West Bengal, the Trinamool Congress has supported the 'Bharat Bandh' with the Congress and the Left parties. The protesters blocked railway tracks and staged sit-ins at several places in the state.

An official of the state police control room said, "There was not much impact of the bandh in the state." No violence or any untoward incident has been reported. Life has not been affected by the bandh. '
Despite the deployment of police on major routes and highways, protesters in rural areas of Gujarat blocked three highways in the morning and laid burning tires on the route. This affected the movement of vehicles on the route.

IGI Airport Taxi Association President Kishenji also said that the operation of black-yellow taxis is normal and they are not involved in the strike.
Many US lawmakers supported agitating farmers in India
Many US lawmakers have supported farmers agitating against the new agricultural laws in India and requested to allow them to protest in a peaceful manner.
