KATNI. On the occasion of World Environment Day, a pledge was taken to liberate from pollution by planting trees in Pondi Muktidham of village Madhai under Katni district panchayat. National NGO Peace of India MP District Panchayat Vice President Ashok Vishwakarma was present as the chief guest in the program organized by State president Vikas Soni and Madhai Pondi Sarpanch Ashok Manjhi were present. Due to the Corona epidemic, everyone took special care of social distancing by putting on a mask. During the plantation, the District Panchayat Vice President Shri Vishwakarma said that trees take only carbon dioxide, absorb various harmful gases emitted by vehicles and industries and release pure oxygen. Plantation is a natural way of reducing pollution. State president Vikas Soni and village sarpanch Ashok Manjhi said that planting more trees means reducing pollution. Apart from air pollution, trees also help in reducing noise and water pollution. On this occasion Kapil Mishra, Brijendra Dubey, Deepak Tiwari, Pramod Soni, Purushottam Yadav, Devendra Soni, Nageswara Rao and other villagers were present. After the program everyone's hands were sanitized.
