Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. SK Nigam informed that so far a total of 49 samples of persons suspected of corona infection from Katni district have been sent to Jabalpur for investigation. In which 37 sample reports have been received. One positive and 36 negative are found in them. Reports of 4 samples are yet to come, while 8 samples have been rejected by the lab.

New system of operation of liquor and cannabis shops
The state government has implemented a new system of operation of liquor and cannabis shops in zone-wise classified districts from May 5 due to the novel corona virus infection in the state. According to the new system, all the shops of liquor and cannabis in the districts of Bhopal, Indore and Ujjain coming in the Red Zone will be closed till the next order. Liquor and cannabis shops in other areas will be operated, except in the urban areas of the headquarters of the districts of Jabalpur, Dhar, Barwani, East Nimar (Khandwa), Dewas and Gwalior. Containment areas of Khargone, Raisen, Hoshangabad, Ratlam, Agar-Malwa, Mandsaur, Sagar, Shajapur, Chhindwara, Alirajpur, Tikamgarh, Shahdol, Sheopur, Dindori, Burhanpur, Harda, Betul, Vidisha, Morena and Rewa under Orange Zone Except alcoholic and cannabis shops will be operated. All liquor and cannabis shops in the districts under the Green Zone will be started. All the licensees have been directed to ensure compliance of the SOP and two yards issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India and Commercial Tax Department, Madhya Pradesh Government at the shops.
