Collector Shashibhushan Singh visited Government Sanjay Nikunj Khirhani and Barwara on Wednesday to take stock of the condition and activities of the gardens. During this, Deputy Director Agriculture AK Rathore, Assistant Director Horticulture Arun Pandey, District Manager of Aajeevika Mission Shabana Begum and Horticulture Officer were also present. Collector Shri Singh instructed to entrust the work of preparing the nursery of the livelihood mission to the self-help groups of the livelihood mission due to lack of proper maintenance of the nurseries and due to lack of systematic maintenance of the gardens. With the decision of the Collector, where the condition of the government gardens will be better and common citizens will be able to get fruitful plants at reasonable rates. With the better maintenance of government gardens, the means of employment for the livelihood mission group women will be available from the nursery. At the same time, financial efficiency will also come in them. The district panchayat has approved 50 lakh 34 thousand for the construction of nursery for Ropani Barwara, the government garden under MNREGA scheme. The Durga Mahila Self Help Group of Livelihood Mission, the executive agency of this plant, has been formed. Similarly, Rs 50 lakh 34 thousand has been sanctioned for the construction of nursery of the government Sanjay Nikunj Khirhani. Its agency Shiv Shakti self-help group Village Khirwa has been created. In setting up nurseries in 0.81 hectare area in each of the gardens, self-help groups will follow the guidelines of Mahatma Gandhi National Employment Guarantee Act for establishment of nurseries. The groups will have to do the work of setting up the nursery for three years. Collector Mr. Singh interacted with the women of self-help groups present during the inspection of the gardens and instructed them to start nursery establishment soon. Collector Mr. Singh has given instructions during proper inspection in Government Sanjay Nikunj Khirhani for proper maintenance and management of mango, guava orchards located in twelve and a half acres of land and keeping nursery plants alive and selling and marketing them in their proper form,
